A Cozy, Moody Retreat
Our favorite room in the home. Rich wood paneling envelops the space with warmth, creating the perfect backdrop for evening cocktails or a quiet night in with a good book. At its heart, our custom Franklin sofa sits proudly with elegantly sloped arms, generous seat, and luxurious linen by Designs of the Time. Every detail is considered—our take on a classic English rolled-arm chair, a rich leather ottoman, and an Empire-style throne reborn in a contemporary Schumacher check. A moody, richly hued rug grounds the room, offering a cozy counterpoint to the light, coastal feel of the rest of the home.
A T I M E L E S S SANCTUARY
The primary suite is a study in elegance and tranquility, designed as a true retreat within the home. The bathrooms were entirely reimagined, stripped to their core and rebuilt with meticulous attention to detail. Over the course of three weeks, hand-laid Calacatta Gold marble set the foundation, each piece carefully placed to enhance its natural beauty. Her bath is light and ethereal, exuding airy sophistication, while his embraces a moodier, more grounded sensibility with deep-veined marble, hand-glazed zellige tiles from Ann Sacks, and oversized polished nickel fixtures. A soft, neutral palette flows seamlessly from the rest of the home, creating a sanctuary where refinement and comfort exist in perfect harmony.

Tucked beside the library, the first-floor powder room is a study in refined contrast—intimate yet striking, formal yet inviting. Wrapped in handsome grasscloth, the walls take on a tactile richness, their depth and warmth setting the tone for a space that feels quietly indulgent. At its center, a custom walnut vanity exudes confidence, effortlessly elevated by it honed Arabescato stone countertop. Turned legs nod to traditional craftsmanship while unlacquered brass fixtures from Waterworks catch the light, aging gracefully over time—adding a subtle yet deliberate touch of glamour to the masculine space.
